I believe self care goes deeper than taking a bath, exercising, applying skincare & drinking more water. Honestly, self care ultimately goes beyond even your own goals and aspirations. As I've gotten older I've realized that self care is letting go of ego, owning your issues & challenging yourself. It's caring for your mental health and seeking help if needed. Caring for your soul and how to be of use to others. Being conscious and open to growth and change. It's prayer and reflection. Being patient with yourself and others. Self care is non judgement. Ultimately, it's a journey we are all on. You can look to other people and think they have a "perfect life", but ultimately everyone fights their own battles and demons, and we're all on a journey to find purpose and meaning in this life. I've personally been spending more time simplifying. Time with my family and pets outdoors, having quiet time everyday, and focusing on what I'm truly passionate about.
