The Magic of the Fashion Show
I think I love back-to-school shopping just as much as my kids. The way their eyes light up when they see that “perfect” something makes my heart so happy. (In fact, you can read why I let my kids pick out their clothes here.) But the best part of all the back-to-school preparations is the fashion show.
Please tell me you did a back-to-school fashion show when you were a kid because it’s the best!
First you line up all of your new outfits by which day you’ll wear them. (Raise your hand if you totally did this!) Then you yell at mom and dad to sit on the couch and get ready ‘cause you’re about to knock their socks off with a fashion show. Growing up, each of us five siblings took turns putting on an outfit and strutting our stuff in the family living room while mom and dad praised and clapped.
It’s the one time as a kid when all the attention is on you.
