Rolo Cookies
Yay! I’m so excited for this post. I’m going to share one of my family’s all-time favorite recipes of rolo cookies.
Ooey gooey deliciously easy Rolo cookies.
Ok I just found another delicious recipe I have to share! Have you ever tried Ritz Cracker Toffee? It’s from our friend Stephanie and oh so good!
Don’t get me wrong, I will never stop loving the plain ole chocolate chip, but if you ever want a simple recipe with a little extra chocolatey caramel zing, you have to try these!
First step, make the cookie dough. I used my all-time favorite cookie dough recipe here, and just left out the chocolate chips.
Ingredients for cookie dough {already doubled}.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/3 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
2 t soda
1 t salt
2 t vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
STEP 2- Grab a bag of Rolos
{Tip: Milky Ways candy bars are delicious in these as well.}
Unwrap the Rolos. {Your kids are great to enlist for help for this!}
Ok, so now you have your finished cookie dough, and your Rolos. Pretty simple thus far, right?
Next, grab a medium sized ball of cookie dough.
Press a Rolo in the center.
Cover the Rolo in the cookie dough.
It’s so easy, my 3 year old rolled all of them. She felt like such a big girl. 🙂
Ta-da!
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Don’t overbake. 🙂
{TIP: some Rolos will stick to the pan a little bit. Make sure cookies cool before taking them off the pan.}
Simply. Delicious.
And easy. Yesss.
And there you have it! A simple, tasty, FAST twist to your typical chocolate chip cookie. Perfect for busy mom’s on the go.
And they’re perfect for Valentine’s Day gifts.
