Wardrobe Staples for Summer (Plus a Few to Spice Things Up!)

**This post is sponsored by Nordstrom Rack and ShopStyle.**

Every time I go into Nordstrom Rack, in-store or online, I find myself filling my cart faster than the contestants on “Supermarket Sweeps” (Anyone old enough to remember that show?).  It’s a literal, money-saving treasure hunt! The styles and brands I am able to find, at up to 70% off, are always top-notch. It’s my go-to for unique styles and QUALITY pieces.

Summer is a great time to refresh that wardrobe and incorporate fun trends (tie-dye!) into your life.
We teamed up to showcase some of OUR favorite picks!

Tie dye tank:  Of all the Summer trends, the one I see the most is TIE DYE. Do you dare to wear it? This tank would be perfect paired with denim shorts or even over a swimsuit!

Zella Leopard Sports bra: Some say, if you lack motivation to exercise, new gear will help. I don’t know if this Zella Leopard print sports bra will necessarily cause you to RUN faster, but it does give you some motivation to keep going and do it in comfort!

Lucky skinny crop jeans : Every gal needs a staple skinny, cropped jean. They are a great transition and summer jean!

Surplice Cap sleeve: I love a versatile top that adds a little spice to your date nights at home or on the go. This is classic enough to pair with a pencil skirt for the office, or with jeans and heels for a spicier evening. I love that it drapes casually around the tummy area. Super flattering!

Chaco Sandals:  These sandals are the ultimate adventure sandal. Plus, at 56% off, they’re a total steal. If you’re doing any outdoor activities this Summer, these are a must. Great for land or water and so very comfortable.

Nike Slides: These are another Summer basic. When a wedge heel isn’t practical, these are fantastic for the garden, pool, or lake.

Sam Edelman two strap Sandals : When it comes to shoes, I gravitate towards shoes that are neutral enough to go with everything. That is the case with these! Sam Edelman makes a great shoe and these stylish things are no different.

Athena Swimsuit: Swimsuit shopping isn’t always (uhh..maybe ever?) FUN, but we all need them. I love this one because it’s feminine with a sporty touch. Athena makes suits that you can run around and chase your kids in, while still looking chic.

Mia Slip on Sneakers: The ultimate casual but put together shoe. A good slip on sneaker can get you a long way. Plus, when you can’t get to the salon to get that pedicure, no one will know!

Kate Spade Studs: I love a good statement earring as much as the next gal, but sometimes you want something a little more subtle. These Kate Spade studs are just the ticket. At under $18, they’re affordable too. I love to gift these to my girlfriends.

Crossbody purse: A good crossbody purse is a summer essential. Actually, a year-round essential. This one is a crowd favorite. It comes in several colors and will be the icing on all your Summer outfits. I like that this one has a subtle stud around the outside. It just adds an extra special element.

Wide leg romper: I know rompers are a controversial topic. Some of you love them, and some don’t share the sentiment. I personally, LOVE them. I think this wide leg version is specifically chic. Pair with some strappy sandals and even a denim jacket for cool nights.

Madewell Easy button dress: When it comes to dresses, nothing tops and effortless, easy, Summer style. This particular choice comes in plus sizes too! It would look killer paired with a casual slip on sneaker, sandal or even over a bathing suit! The real struggle is, WHICH color?

Did you see something you just had to have!? I know it’s difficult to choose, so just grab them all! 🙂

Happy Shopping!
