3 MUST Have Cleaning Tools that Have made My Life Easier

The holidays mean lots of food. Lots of food means lots of crumbs and messes. Lots of crumbs mean LOTS of things for me to clean up BEFORE the guests arrive.

Not going to lie, sometimes, with 5 kids in my house, I feel like cleaning my house is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos. Counterproductive.

Nevertheless, it must be done.

Luckily, I have 3 VERY helpful cleaning tools that I’ve owned for years. They’re amazing quality and last forever, PLUS they make my life SO much easier.

Meet, my 3 best friends – The Dyson vacuums.

Now, let’s chat about these life changing (I’m not exaggerating..) tools. No one REALLY likes to clean, but if we must, it’s so important to make the job as painless as possible. For years, I bought lower quality vacuums. They were inexpensive, but as a result, they were junk. We went through a couple vacuums PER YEAR. And, we’re not THAT dirty, people.

Friend after friend recommended Dyson to me, promising they were worth every penny. They didn’t lie. I’m so happy with them. Now, I’m the proud owner of 3 different Dyson models. I tell everyone to snag at least one – if not ALL THREE. I wanted to tell you about each one and why I like it. Perhaps, it will help you determine which one is best for your home!

1. Dyson Ball Animal 2

This vacuum is my go to for my carpets and big messes. It’s extremely powerful. If you’re a pet owner, this one is the model for you!  I love the rotating “ball” that allows me to easily get around furniture, kids, and anything else that stands in mama’s way. I love that it easily transitions from carpet to wood floors with it’s self adjusting cleaning head. I can use it EVERYWHERE.

Another thing I really love about this powerful vacuum is how easy it is to clean. One button and the bottom opens, releasing all the nasty (and believe me, it collects a TON!). I don’t even have to get my hands dirty to clean! Now, that’s functional!

2. Dyson Cordless
This is a more lightweight, but still powerful option and it’s cordless! You just hook it to a docking station (hung on the wall) and it charges quickly. It’s an extremely portable option too. I absolutely love it for two main reasons.

First, it’s my GO TO for the stairs. IN such a high traffic area, I need something powerful, but I do NOT want to heft a heavier vacuum up that long flight. This has been the answer.
Second, as mentioned, it’s lightweight. This means even my kids (and even HUSBANDS!) can easily vacuum with it. And you better believe they do!

3. Dyson Handheld

This was my last purchase of the three, and was bought with my CAR and carseats in mind. There are SO many difficult to reach spaces in my house and car or times I need a FAST/small area clean up. This handheld version checks off all the boxes! It’s small, but don’t be fooled, it has strong suction! You’d have to be strong to keep up with all those stale french fries in my car!
Another reason I love it, which may sound silly, is because it’s easy to maneuver. I’ve had handheld vacuums in the past that were awkward to handle and get into small crevices. This Dyson model is so comfortable to grip and fit into any area!

So there you have it, the 3 vacuums every home should have. I’ve been using Dyson tools for years and have been so happy with them. They just make life easier and are fantastic when you’re trying to get your house guest ready, ANY time of year.
