Anne Hathaway Buys a Colonial in Connecticut

Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman just bought this old Colonial-style house in Westport, Connecticut. Known as CompoBello, the “mini estate” was built in the 1920s at the end of a long, gated, cobblestone drive. Take a look!

At first I thought there was a wreath on the door, but a close-up shows it’s actually a round window:

Kinda cool, right? You don’t see doors like that very often.

I think they should decorate it like the “Princess Diaries” firehouse Anne Hathaway’s character Mia lived in:

Wouldn’t that be fun? They could add a spiral staircase and a firefighter’s pole, ha.

I picked up a book by Jane Green yesterday that kept me up half the night reading (those are the best kind, aren’t they?). Her author bio on the back says she lives in Westport herself, so maybe she and Anne Hathaway can start hanging out, ha. Green always gives her characters great houses to live in, so I’d love to see hers, too!
