Postpartum DIY's, BreastFeeding Tips & Pump Unboxing
Hey everyone!! I pre-filmed several videos before we moved and before I had my baby.. I had my baby a bit early and gave birth to a healthy baby boy on July 6, 2017. His name is Isaiah.. I will do a labor & delivery video and introduce him to you soon. I pre filmed so that I can have some time off from filming. This video was already completely finished and I'm just uploading it and writing this. I wanted to make sure my channel didn't go dark for weeks, so please bear with me and expect pre-filmed videos ONLY for the next week and a half or so! Feel free to spread the word if anyone in the comments gets confused.. =) I'm NOT a breastfeeding pro, but so far it's already going better with Isaiah than it did with Oliver.. Here are a few things I did to prep, and I hope to start using my pump tonight actually.. Hopefully these tips help you out. A few others things I try and seem to help. 1) Make an appointment with a lactation consultant so he/she can see a breastfeeding session between you and your baby.. They can help give you tips to help feed property. 2) Drink tons of water 3) Keep your calorie intake up 4) Ask your doctor if you can take a supplement such as fenugreek or "Lactation Support" to help support your milk supply. There are also several lactation teas you can find on Amazon or health food stores. 5) Pump in between feedings 6) Try the cookies or shake as a special treat and a way to help support increased calorie intake + milk supply. Smoothie Recipe 1 cup almond milk 1 frozen banana 1/2 cup of oats 2 tbs ground Flaxseed 2 tbs peanut butter 1 tbs chocolate milk mix Lactation Cookie Mix (In A Jar) recipe adapted from onepartsunshine.com & adjusted by me. Add the contents in the jar to the bowl and mix well. Place balls of dough on a cookie sheet.
